Attenborough Adventurers Stay and Play

Outdoor woodland sessions for under-fives mix book-themed play with nature crafts, seasonal activities, minibeast hunts, sensory trays, simple bushcraft and a mud kitchen.

The two-hour sessions take place outdoors in the Education Wood, where young children can explore, imagine and connect with nature. Each session is themed around a children’s book and offers open-ended play, creativity and discovery, with seasonal activities, nature crafts, sensory play and minibeast hunts. The £12 ticket covers one child and one accompanying adult; an additional sibling ticket costs £5 (maximum two tickets per order), and a non-walker is free. Each child receives a snack, and accompanying adults receive a hot drink and biscuit. The organiser says sessions run in all weathers and are cancelled only for very high winds or heavy snow.
