Free Inclusive Seated Tai chi and uplifting Community Dance sessions — Brixton, October 2026
About
A low-pressure social movement gathering combines guided dance with an adaptable seated or standing Tai chi finish at Brixton Windmill Centre.
No previous dance practice is expected, and the organisers welcome participants across ages and ability levels, with particular encouragement for older adults. The session moves into Tai chi that can be done seated or standing. Admission is free; general Joy of Sound guidance proposes a £7 donation per visit. Venue guidance lists wheelchair access and an inclusive toilet. Participants should arrange personal assistant or carer support unless they have agreed otherwise with the facilitator. The published event cards run 14:30–16:00, while the class description assigns 14:30–15:30 to dance and leaves the cool-down end unstated. No current session teacher or musicians are identified; Angela Contucci is the contact only.
