Jo Chapman and Molly Thomson: Chance Encounters

A free exhibition pairing Jo Chapman's instinctive clay forms with Molly Thomson's process-driven geometric constructions.

Chance Encounters brings together two artists whose working processes reveal the role of chance in making. Jo Chapman, after two decades of large-scale public art, shows bold, organic forms in clay, while Molly Thomson's plywood and acrylic constructions develop through zigzagging decisions and revisions, so that each piece remains a snapshot of an ongoing investigation into form, process and materiality. The exhibition runs in the Firstsite galleries during normal opening times.
