Teachers Network CPD - Devising with Theatre Re

A practical CPD workshop for teachers exploring Theatre Re's physical-theatre devising approach, using space, movement, weight and rhythm to create meaning and narrative.

This Teachers Network CPD session introduces teachers to Theatre Re's distinctive approach to devising physical theatre, starting with action rather than text. Participants work with four fundamental elements — space, movement, weight and rhythm — experiencing the company's devising process from the inside. The workshop culminates in a composition exercise where participants create their own movement score, and teachers leave with a practical toolkit of exercises and vocabulary to support students in devising assessments and written evaluations.
