Queer Digital Detox Hangout | Dalston
About
A phone-free queer social hangout in Dalston with meditation, quiet hobby time, discussion and an acoustic set by Gabi Garbutt.
This 18+ phone-free hangout asks attendees to lock their phones away on arrival and spend the afternoon offline. The programme opens with introductions and a short guided meditation by Chris, followed by an introverted part for reading, journaling, knitting or napping with curated playlists, and an extroverted part with socialising and a guided open-floor discussion on better digital habits. Alternative pop singer-songwriter Gabi Garbutt also performs an acoustic set featuring songs from her latest album, Radical Love. Attendees are encouraged to bring a book, journal or craft project, and to bring cash or a physical card for drinks.
