About
The Grand Final of a singer-songwriter competition for young musicians, with awards for Best Cover Performance and Best Original Song.
The finals of The Basement Door's Singer Songwriter Competition bring together the highest-scoring performers from the heats to compete for two awards: Best Cover Performance, for live interpretation of an existing song, and Best Original Song, for creativity and composition. The event aims to encourage young musicians to build confidence, performance skills and songwriting ability while performing live for an audience. It runs on the evening of Sunday 25 October 2026.
