Twilight Bat Walk

An after-hours guided bat walk at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm using bat-detecting equipment to listen for the site's 16 recorded bat species.

Join an experienced bat conservationist for a guided twilight walk through visitor and off-show areas of the zoo's 100-acre site. Using specialist bat-detecting equipment, participants listen for the ultrasonic calls of different species across the woodlands, wetlands, hedgerows and grasslands, where recent surveying has identified 16 bat species. The zoo is closed to the public during the event, and the small-group experience is for adults aged 18 and over, with uneven terrain requiring sturdy footwear and a torch.
