Ealing – “Queen of the suburbs”
About
A guided social walk around Ealing led by Robert Hall for Central London Humanists, exploring the area's film studio heritage, parks and humanist connections.
Central London Humanists presents a roughly two-hour guided walk of about 3 km through Ealing, led by volunteer Robert Hall. The route takes in two parks and points of interest including the remains of the Ealing film studios, links to the only assassinated British prime minister, and the story of Lord Byron's wife and her connection with Freddie Mercury, with humanist history highlighted along the way. The group meets near Dexter's estate agents on The Broadway, departing promptly at 2.15 pm, and finishes around 4 pm at The Grove, Ealing Green, with optional refreshments afterwards. The walk goes ahead in all but dangerous weather and participants should be able to keep pace at 4 km/h.
