About
An exhibition marking the 110th anniversary of the Somme, exploring first-hand perspectives of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment in 1916.
Marking the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, this exhibition explores the different perspectives of those who experienced the carnage first-hand, from regular soldiers to officers, and from survivors to those who lost their lives. The first day of the offensive saw the greatest loss of life in British Army history, with nearly 60,000 casualties, a third of them fatal. The display focuses on the Royal Warwickshire Regiment's experiences in the bloodiest battle of the Great War.
