Creative Walk led by Yu-Chen Wang and Andro Semeiko-Antelidze

A free two-hour creative walk around Dagenham led by artists Yu-Chen Wang and Andro Semeiko-Antelidze, exploring green spaces and the Becontree Estate's history.

Artists Yu-Chen Wang and Andro Semeiko-Antelidze lead a free exploratory walk around Dagenham, using creative observation and collective wandering to discover the local environment, gathering eco-finds and seeking out overlooked pockets of green. The walk draws on 100-year-old archival documentation of the Becontree Estate, once the UK's largest housing development, reflecting on its original 'garden cottage' ideals and reimagining a greener, fairer future. Participants meet at The White House garden at 11:45am, set off at 12pm, and return at 1:45pm for soup, refreshments and an informal sharing session. The event is part of Create London's Creative Walks series.
