About
Recent paintings by Catherine Murphy reconsider familiar objects and domestic scenes through close observation and unexpected viewpoints.
Murphy reframes scenes around her home and studio using cropped compositions, heightened colour and careful attention to light. The works move from observed reality toward subtly surreal arrangements.
