About
A 25-mile Lewisham Cyclists ride exploring East End sites connected with European radicals, anarchists, labour organising and women’s suffrage.
The ride leaves Zest in Lewisham at 10:15am after a 10am meeting. Stops and route-side stories include Stalin’s London visit, the 1907 Russian Social Democratic Labour Party congress, East End anarchist printing presses, Sylvia Pankhurst’s organising, and a women workers’ strike. The route uses mostly quiet streets but includes some busier roads and junctions; experienced riders will look out for less confident participants. There is a coffee stop.
