The Front Room Experience: Church

An immersive theatrical experience recreating a Caribbean front-room church service, blending storytelling, live gospel music and community.

This immersive production takes audiences inside a 1950s/60s Caribbean front room, where Windrush-era communities created their own places of worship after facing exclusion from established churches. Written and produced by Samuel Facey and Dave Prince and directed by Ray Shell, it combines storytelling, live gospel vocals, humour and reflection, with the audience seated within the room rather than watching from a distance. The run lasts 2 hours 30 minutes and plays four performances only, 22–25 October 2026.
