Leon McCawley

British pianist Leon McCawley gives a recital of Mozart, Fanny Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Grieg, Fauré and Chopin at Stoke Rep.

Pianist Leon McCawley performs a programme tracing the piano's evolution from Mozart's Classical clarity to the Romanticism of Chopin and Grieg. The recital pairs early keyboard sonatas with lyrical nocturnes and dramatic ballades, including Mozart's Sonata in G major, Beethoven's Sonata in C major Op. 2 No. 3, Grieg's Ballade in G minor Op. 24 and Chopin's Ballade No. 3 in A flat major Op. 47. The performance runs from 7:30pm to 10:00pm.
