About
CaDAS's season of monthly Friday-evening astronomy talks at the Planetarium, opening with a talk by Fi McClelland of the Scottish Dark Sky Observatory.
The Cleveland and Darlington Astronomical Society meets monthly on Friday evenings at the Planetarium in Wynyard Woodland Park, with doors at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. Each meeting features a different invited speaker on an astronomical subject, presented in an accessible way that is described as academic but not too technical. The opening talk of the 2026-27 season is given by Fi McClelland of the Scottish Dark Sky Observatory, with the title still to be announced; later meetings include talks on Saturn, variable stars and the Extremely Large Telescope, plus an AGM with members' short talks in June.
