As Night Falls: The Crimson Ball

A vampire-themed live roleplay masquerade ball combining immersive storytelling and interactive theatre in Derby's gothic former library.

Mythic Echoes present a rules-light, combat-free vampire LARP set in the modern day, staged in the gothic former library of The Wardwick. Participants take on the role of a vampire from one of five dynasties — Bathory, de Morieve, Lilith, Orlock or Tepes — chosen when buying a ticket, and pursue personal, faction and overarching goals through social roleplay with no script or predetermined narrative. The evening includes a blood ritual storyline to restore the monarchs against the returned Vlad Tepes, a costume competition, raffle and complimentary buffet, with a bar open throughout. Doors open at 6pm with an introduction at 6.30pm for a 7pm start; the LARP concludes at 11pm before the event finishes at 11.30pm.
