Women in the Storm

A feminist solo performance follows a woman navigating the barriers to leaving an abusive relationship.

Drawing on documented cases and testimonies, the fictionalised story traces a woman’s movement from love and control through violence and resistance as she seeks help and safety. The production combines monologue, physical theatre and documentary material, and warns of depictions of domestic violence, abuse and medical trauma. The detail credits Arina (Yutong Yang) as playwright and performer and D’Jordelle Wright-Auguiste as voice performer. The published bill names: Arina (Yutong Yang), D’Jordelle Wright-Auguiste.
