The green fuse drives the flower
About
An exhibition of new paintings and textile-based works by Aimée Parrott, combining monotype, dye, appliqué, staining and stitching. The works explore transformation, exchange, and the marks of time and touch.
Installed across both floors, the exhibition brings together paintings and textile works using monotype printing, dye, appliqué, staining and stitching. Parrott’s work draws on biological, ecological, cosmological and geological references; painted hanging lamp works illuminate the downstairs spaces. The exhibition is free. The exhibition is wheelchair accessible; access to the first floor is by an external, uncovered lift, and the toilets are not wheelchair accessible. Open Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm, with visits by appointment outside those hours. Writer Jennifer Higgie was commissioned to write an accompanying essay for the exhibition; this credit does not indicate event attendance.
