About

Professor Helene Burningham gives the River Deben Association's Autumn Talk on coastal erosion and the Deben Knolls, with drinks and nibbles beforehand.

Professor Helene Burningham of University College London gives the River Deben Association's Autumn Talk on coastal erosion and beach sediment loss along the Suffolk east coast, focusing on the Bawdsey Foreland and the Deben Knolls. Her talk draws on years of data gathered with the Bawdsey Beach Monitoring Team, which has surveyed back-of-beach levels weekly since 2013, and the Deben Marine Centre. The evening opens at 7pm with wine, soft drinks and nibbles, the talk starts at 7:30pm and is followed by audience questions; the cover artist for 'The Deben' magazine will also exhibit some work.
