Nicolas Meier's World Group performs music from the band's new album Elysian Drift in this Out to Lunch lunchtime concert. Meier's guitar style draws on jazz, Turkish idioms, classical and flamenco influences, including quarter-tone playing on fretless guitar and the glissentar, an 11-string fretless guitar based on the oud. He is joined by Demi Garcia Sabat (percussion), Alex Hutton (piano), Richard Jones (violin) and Paul Michael (bass). Doors open at 11am and the performance lasts approximately two hours including a 30-minute break.
