Cultural Glenkens: What do we have here? — Discovering Hidden Wildlife
About
An introduction to wildlife monitoring and camera trap setting, with trail cameras handed out to volunteers to record Glenkens wildlife.
This is the first of three linked events exploring the nature and wildlife around New Galloway, run by the Three Event Project with the Culture, Climate and Community Southern Uplands Partnership Biosphere Team. The session introduces wildlife monitoring and camera trap setting, and screens footage previously captured by volunteer trail cameras in the Glenkens. Attendees can take away trail cameras, with instructions and advice, to record hidden wildlife in their gardens and green spaces over the following month. Later events in the series include a woodland nature walk on 25 March and a 'field guide to the Glenkens' social evening on 9 April.
