About

A talk by Naomi Ryan exploring strange legal cases involving supernatural beliefs, from witchcraft trials to ghosts solving murders.

Naomi Ryan presents a talk examining how the English legal system has handled cases involving supernatural beliefs. The session covers historical cases where beliefs in witches, ghosts and other strange creatures led to crimes tried before judge and jury, including the Old Bailey's connection to the last witchcraft trial and the story of a demon linked to the BBC. The talk is suitable for ages 12 and over and lasts one hour.
