Artists in Conversation: Peter Fillingham

A free interactive artist conversation with sculptor Peter Fillingham discussing the ideas and materials behind his work.

This session in the free artist conversation programme pairs sculptor Peter Fillingham with researchers or practitioners in relevant fields to discuss the ideas, themes and questions driving his work. Fillingham transforms overlooked found materials of low cultural or economic value into sculptural forms and installations with a theatrical quality, drawing on his bi-racial heritage and improvised material encounters. The event is interactive, with audiences encouraged to join the conversation, and takes place in person in the Jack Hylton Room. It precedes his exhibition Fruit Salad at the Peter Scott Gallery, running 2 November to 11 December.
