Bibi Lei’s paintings use flowers, gardens and imagined figures to explore growth, courage and wonder.
The show brings together paintings in which touch-led marks develop into flowers, landscapes and figures. Lei draws on the freedom of Fauvism and the light of Impressionism, while her life across Macau, Lisbon and Tokyo informs the visual traditions she brings together. The exhibition considers how to keep curiosity and courage as one grows.
