Henrique Mota: São Paulo After Dark

Brazilian pianist Henrique Mota performs an intimate solo piano evening blending São Paulo rhythms, modern jazz and reimagined Brazilian classics.

In a solo piano set lasting from 2pm to 4.30pm, Henrique Mota performs music from his new album Waning Moon, which he describes as shaped by silence, space and transformation. The programme pairs his own compositions with reimagined Brazilian classics, including Cartola's "O Mundo É Um Moinho", moving between quiet, suspended moments and the lilting pulse of Brazil. The matinee performance is presented by Telecoteco Productions and is open to all ages.
