A free Christmas market and windmill open day features local craft and food stalls, music and refreshments.

The annual Christmas market and open day brings local craft and food sellers to the windmill grounds, with seasonal music and tea, coffee and cake from the visitor-centre kiosk. Entry to the market, visitor centre and garden is free. Optional windmill tours are separately ticketed on the day (£6 adults; £2 children). Children taking a tour must be at least one metre tall and able to manage the stairs unaided; upper floors have steep open-tread stairs, and visitors are asked to wear enclosed flat-soled footwear.
