Transmission - The Sound of Joy Division + Kaleidoscope

UK Joy Division tribute act Transmission play a Halifax gig marking nearly 49 years since Joy Division's first show there, with support from Kaleidoscope.

Transmission, described as the UK's leading Joy Division tribute act, perform a show recreating the atmosphere of a live Joy Division gig, timed almost 49 years to the day after Joy Division played the first of two Halifax gigs. The band emulates the dark, cavernous post-punk sound of the group formed in the late 1970s and dissolved in 1980 after the death of singer Ian Curtis. Support comes from Kaleidoscope, playing dark music inspired by the alt, goth and post-punk classics of the early to mid 1980s.
