The Junior Neon Night Run is an evening running event for children aged 4–14 held on Wavertree Running Track under the lights. Participants choose a 2km or 3.2km run, with DJs playing music on the track and a neon-lit atmosphere. The schedule runs from check-in and warm-up at 4pm, to the main neon run at 4:30pm, then age-grouped races and a medal ceremony from 5pm. Every child receives a neon light stick and a finisher's medal, and adults can accompany them free of charge.
