About
The Budapest Cafe Orchestra is a four-piece ensemble led by Christian Garrick, performing gypsy and folk-flavoured music.
The Budapest Cafe Orchestra is a four-player ensemble combining violin, accordion, double bass, guitar, saz, and balalaika. Founded in 2009 by British composer and jazz violinist Christian Garrick, the group performs music that evokes Tzigane fiddle traditions and café life. Their programme spans Balkan and Russian traditional pieces, Gaelic folk anthems, and artful arrangements of works by Romantic composers.
