Royal Ballet and Opera Live: Götterdämmerung

This broadcast presents the dramatic finale of Wagner’s epic saga, Götterdämmerung, featuring the Royal Ballet and Opera.

The production places the apocalyptic drama in a contemporary world of dream-like turmoil, exploring themes of deception and devastation. Antonio Pappano conducts the impassioned music, which includes Siegfried’s Funeral March and Brünnnhilde’s Immolation Scene. The performance features the full forces of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and the Royal Opera Chorus.
