Folktales For New Scots - Free Art & Storytelling Workshop

A free print-making and Scottish storytelling workshop for ages 16+, welcoming New Scots and local residents to create and connect together.

Beetroots Collective hosts a free, friendly evening combining Scottish folktales from a local storyteller with a guided print-making workshop led by Marta Adamowicz. Aimed at everyone aged 16+, the session brings together New Scots and long-established residents in a relaxed, welcoming space, with all materials provided and no experience needed. It is part of a series of workshops that build on each other, with artwork developing week to week towards a short film shown at an outdoor street party in March 2027. The project is funded by Creative Scotland National Lottery Fund.
