Amy Speace: The Cardinals: Songs, Stories & Poems

Nashville-based singer-songwriter and poet Amy Speace performs an intimate show weaving songs from her album catalogue together with poems and stories from her new collection, The Cardinals.

Amy Speace returns to the UK with The Cardinals: Songs, Stories & Poems, a live show in which songs from her ten-album catalogue flow into poems and stories from her first published poetry collection. Rather than separating a poetry reading from the music, she lets the poems act as connective tissue, revealing the experiences behind the songs. The evening traces her life through words and music, from learning to read with her grandmother to songwriting in New York, motherhood and loss.
