Abstract Painting
About
A 12-week Wednesday evening course at Mary Ward Centre, Stratford, introducing practical abstract painting techniques and ideas for beginners and experienced artists.
This 12-week course offers a practical introduction to abstract art, exploring materials, methods and techniques for creating abstract imagery. Term 1 focuses on techniques and ideas, with later terms covering abstraction and the human figure and nature-inspired abstraction; each term is self-contained so students can enrol for one term only. Sessions include group reviews of work, and an informal exhibition of finished pieces at the end of term; students supply their own materials after the first session.
