Northern Lights Dumfries

A free three-night festival of light, sound and projection transforming Dumfries town centre after dark, including Burns Light and a new Rave Experience.

Northern Lights Dumfries transforms the town centre after dark with a trail of light, sound and projection installations across streets, landmarks and hidden corners. The programme brings back Burns Light, a celebration of Robert Burns through light and projection, alongside a new immersive Rave Experience combining music, light and energy. Rabbie's Winter Village adds food and drink, live entertainment and a gathering space, with the event running each evening from 5pm to 10pm over the three days.
