Accidents of the Soul

A dance-theatre solo by Lucy Ireland structured as a living photoshoot, exploring emotion, performance and connection.

Accidents of the Soul is a new dance-theatre solo performed by Lucy Ireland, co-artistic director of Shotput. The piece is structured as a living photoshoot in which entire worlds are built, captured and destroyed, combining endurance-based dance, striking design and sharp humour. It explores the intensity of emotions, the multiplicity of the self and the tension between genuine feeling and performance, and is recommended for ages 12 and over.
