Beats & Rhymes

A 10-week Thursday evening workshop for secondary-school-age young people covering lyric writing, sampling, mixing, recording and performing music.

Beats & Rhymes is a music-making workshop for young people of secondary school age, held in the Tutti Studio at the Music Hall. Participants learn lyric writing, sampling, mixing and sound engineering, with no musical background or ability to read music required. Sessions run 90 minutes each Thursday evening across a 10-week term, and free spaces are offered so cost is not a barrier.
