About

A one-day CPD-endorsed study day for radiographers and other healthcare professionals on upper limb x-ray image interpretation and preliminary clinical evaluation.

This one-day course at the South West Imaging Training Academy is aimed primarily at registered radiographers working in acute hospital settings, though it is open to other registered healthcare professionals who interpret x-ray images in their practice. Morning lectures cover a systematic approach to image interpretation, terminology, relevant anatomy, pathology, imaging appearances and diagnostic quality, in the context of preliminary clinical evaluation (PCE) recommendations. In the afternoon, participants rotate through three image-based workshops applying the theory in smaller groups through collaborative discussion. All sessions are delivered by experienced reporting radiographers from the South West, and the course is CPD Now endorsed by The College of Radiographers.
