Tram Driving Lessons

Hands-on tram driving experience courses at Seaton Tramway, with half-day or full-day time at the controls and a behind-the-scenes depot tour.

Seaton Tramway offers driving experience courses that put participants at the controls of a tram under the same conditions as staff drivers, with an instructor on hand throughout. Half-day lessons cover two round trips between Seaton and Colyton, while full-day lessons run from morning to late afternoon and include a refreshment break and lunch at Colyton Station. Both options conclude with a guided tour of Riverside Depot, and students receive a commemorative certificate and souvenir. The experience is for people aged 18 and over who can stand for long periods; no car licence is required to take part.
