Deepscan Cruise
About
A one-hour guided cruise on Loch Ness aboard the Deepscan, using onboard sonar to explore the loch's depths, history and wildlife.
The Deepscan Cruise is a one-hour guided boat trip on Loch Ness, named after the 1987 Operation Deepscan expedition. Small groups of up to 12 guests sail with an experienced local skipper who provides live commentary while onboard sonar equipment scans the loch's depths. The cruise covers the loch's geology, wildlife and research history, including stories of sightings, expeditions and John Cobb's speed record attempt, with views of Urquhart Castle. Hourly sailings typically operate between 10am and 5pm, with indoor cabin and outdoor deck seating.
