Baroque chamber ensemble Ensemble Augelletti performs 'Jewels that brightly burn', a programme of Bach, Telemann and contemporaries at Clothworkers Centenary Concert Hall.

Ensemble Augelletti present 'Jewels that brightly burn', a baroque chamber programme telling the story of Bach's students through their letters and memoirs. The programme includes arrangements of Bach's instrumental music, Telemann's 'Paris' quartets and sonatas, and works by Hasse, Fasch, Torelli, Locatelli and Princess Anna Amalia of Prussia. The ensemble, formed in 2019 and formerly the New Generation Baroque Ensemble with BBC Radio 3, specialises in programmes that tell everyday stories of 17th- and 18th-century life.
