Vijayadashmi Utsav - Ravan Dahan and Fireworks only

A community Dussehra celebration in Birmingham featuring the symbolic burning of a Ravan effigy followed by fireworks.

Organised by community group Sutton Parivaar, this Vijayadashmi event centres on a Ravan Dahan — the traditional burning of a Ravan effigy — followed by fireworks, which organisers believe is the first such celebration in Birmingham. The two-hour, all-ages gathering is registration-only, with no entry without prior registration, and doors open at 3:30 PM. Volunteers hope to make it an annual celebration of Dussehra's message of good triumphing over evil, open to everyone.
