About

Professor Anjali Goswami examines why some species flourish through environmental change while others disappear.

The 2026 Michael Faraday Prize lecturer draws on fossils, imaging and AI to trace the pace of evolutionary change from single-celled life to dinosaurs and mammals. The lecture is free with advance booking for in-person attendance at the Royal Society; it is also livestreamed, with doors opening at 18:00.
