About

An exhibition at Holkham Hall marking 75 years of Holkham Studio Pottery, telling the stories of the pottery and the people who made it.

Founded in 1951 by Lady Elizabeth, the 5th Countess of Leicester, Holkham Studio Pottery grew from a converted laundry and bowling alley into a business employing around ninety workers at its peak. The exhibition celebrates the pottery's 75th anniversary, covering its distinctive hand-painted designs such as Chevrons and Snowdrop, the Owl and Elizabeth ranges, and commemorative mugs made for customers across the country. It runs during the 2026 season, open on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm, and is included with standard admission to Holkham Hall.
