About

The Royal Automobile Club's free street display on Pall Mall, spanning Victorian veteran cars, Formula 1 machines and low-carbon technology, with the road closed to through traffic.

Now in its third year, the Spectacle is staged on Pall Mall outside the Royal Automobile Club's clubhouse on the eve of the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. One end of the street hosts the St James's Concours for the earliest motor cars, with many entrants in period costume. The 2026 edition marks the centenary of Britain's first Grand Prix, organised by the Club at Brooklands in 1926, with a Formula 1 display ranging from a Brooklands-era Delage to current hybrid cars, and shows the Club's British Grand Prix Trophy. Information on careers and educational routes into the automotive and motorsport industries is also available. The Club reports more than 12,000 visitors and more than 150 vehicles at the 2025 event.
