Wet, Wet, Wet: Beaver and Human Wetlands of Heal Somerset

A guided walk and talk with rewilding ranger Daniel Hill exploring how beavers and humans are restoring wetland ecosystems at Heal Somerset.

Rewilding ranger Daniel Hill leads a two-hour guided walk and talk around the developing wetlands at Heal Somerset, showing how dams, ponds and scrapes shape water movement, biodiversity and habitat recovery. The walk explores how beaver activity and human intervention complement each other to create healthier habitats, cleaner water and climate-resilient ecosystems. Hill manages the site's monitoring and land management programmes and works with partners on its hydrological restoration plan.
