Posuposu Otani, the Pgs, Sam Fenton
About
An 18+ Atomiser-presented night of experimental music featuring Tokyo underground throat singer Posuposu Otani, Flaming Tunes reinterpretation act The PGs, and Sam Fenton solo.
Atomiser presents a three-act bill at Longfield Hall. Posuposu Otani, a throat singer and songwriter from the Tokyo and Yokohama underground scenes, uses open-tuned guitar and the Kohkin (Jew's Harp) to build an impressionistic sound world centred on overtones and timbre. The PGs — Flaming Tunes originator Mary Currie, Alison Craig, Nick Haeffner and Marcus Holdaway — perform their quirky interpretation of the acclaimed Flaming Tunes album alongside left-field covers and their own material. Sam Fenton, of London bands Bar Italia and Double Virgo, opens with a solo set. The event is strictly 18+.
