Brass Against

New York brass collective Brass Against fuse brass band, heavy rock and powerful vocals in covers of Rage Against the Machine, Tool and more plus their own music.

Brass Against is a New York-based collective led and curated by Brad Hammonds, blending a brass band with heavy rock and powerful vocals. Founded in 2017, the group began with brass covers of Rage Against the Machine and now performs curated heavy rock songs alongside original material from their five albums, with vocalists including Sophia Urista, Liza Colby, Michael Cunio and Samuel Hope. Their setlists mix favourites such as 'Killing in the Name', Tool songs and an AC/DC encore, aiming for music that is both empowering and a form of escapism.
