About

An exhibition about Sophia Duleep Singh and five women in her family and circle, exploring royal identity, empire and resistance.

Kensington Palace presents the lives of Sophia Duleep Singh, her sisters Catherine and Bamba, their mother Bamba Muller, grandmother Jind Kaur and Sophia's godmother Queen Victoria. The exhibition considers how their identities, causes and choices were shaped by a royal dynasty and the British Empire, with responses from British South Asian people today.
