About

A large-scale ceramic squirrel installation by artist Dan Gough in Belsay’s East Quarry Meadow.

Four hundred ceramic squirrels make their way through East Quarry Meadow as visitors explore the historic gardens. The installation revisits Dan Gough’s work first created in 2016 in response to the decline of the native red squirrel. A limited number of individual sculptures are offered for purchase.
