Hollingdean Sewing Group

A friendly Monday morning sewing session at Hollingdean Community Centre where participants bring their own projects to work on and share.

Hosted by local residents Janice and Sarahjane, this trial session invites people of all skill levels to bring a sewing project — whether mending, alterations, dressmaking or an unfinished piece — and work on it together. The group offers help with sewing problems, pattern alterations and garment fitting, plus ideas for recycling old items into something new. Attendees should bring their own equipment and materials, though a sewing machine is available to use; if the pilot goes well the organisers hope to make it a regular group.
